Janet is a licensed physical therapist, certified pilates trainer, and certified personal trainer. Janet trained and is certified through Stott Pilates. She earned a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Westfield State College and a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from American Inter­­national College. She has over 20 years experience in the fit­ness industry. She is also certified through AFAA. Janet has studied Myofascial Release through the MFR treatment center. She has studied the myokinesthetic system of manual therapy and is certified with this manual technique of treating pain.

Dawn is a Stott certified Pilates Instructor with over 10 years experience teaching Pilates and over 20 years experience in the fitness field including personal training. Dawn has also success­fully completed course­work in injuries and special populations, breast cancer rehab, Mat work and Reformer, prenatal Pilates, lumbo-pelvic region stability and function, shoulder girdle stability and function, knee stability and function, athletic conditioning on the Reformer and Chair and training with small equipment. Dawn prides herself on catering to all student levels from novice to advanced.

Penny Korpita (formerly Shure) opened Healing with Movement Pilates in Albany, NY. in 2003. New to Western MA, Penny is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to teach & get to know everyone here! She is a Syracuse University graduate, Meeks Method osteoporosis exercise specialist & a member of Dr. Suzanne Martin's Pilates Therapeutics Professional Development Group, utilizing the Pilates method to improve bone & foot health, performing arts injuries & scoliosis management. She is PMA cer- tified & Power Pilates trained. She was part of the NOF advocacy group “Strong Voices for Strong Bones" in Congress in 2009, a consumer reviewer in the evaluation of research proposals submitted to the Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program sponsored by the Defense Department in both 2009 & 2010, & served on Eli Lilly and Company’s Mobility Advisory Board in 2009 & 2010. A former NOF support group leader, she created the first Teen support group in the country in 2011 & a teen osteoporosis prevention program “Million Dollar Bones". She wrote a bone health & exercise blog for the Albany Times Union for 2 years. Along with Pilates, Penny practices ballet & loves to walk & hike. Weight-bearing exercises to build strong bones.

Laura is a Balance Body certified instructor.  She has been teaching Pilates  for over 7 years.  She is also a group fitness and strength/interval training instructor.  She is a personal trainer certified through ACSM.  Laura has a BS in Dance and a M.Ed. in Exercise Science/ Health Promotion, both from Springfield College.  She specializes in injury prevention as well as sport specific programs.  Laura enjoys working with people of all fitness levels, creating challenging workouts to meet each individuals goals.

Rosanna is the office manager at the Pilates Center of Western Mass.  Rosanna has been a part of the Pilates Center since it moved to Longmeadow 9 years ago. She started as a student of Pilates with mat work and has expanded her Pilates experience to include the full Pilates repertoire. Rosanna is a dancer with a focus on ballet.  Rosanna takes her love of movement, dance, pilates, and business and brings  enthusiasm and professionalism to the studio.  Rosanna is a graduate of Providence college.
